MLL Legal advised Ondo on the Ondo Global Markets initiative, a tokenization platform designed to bring public securities onchain.
Ondo Global Markets is a tokenization platform that enables investors outside the U.S. to gain onchain exposure to over one hundred U.S. publicly traded securities, including stocks and ETFs. By providing tokenized exposure to these assets, Ondo Global Markets brings the transparency, efficiency, and accessibility enabled by blockchain technology to institutional-grade finance. Through its application programming interfaces (APIs) and software development kits (SDKs), the platform also empowers third-party developers to build innovative financial applications, making it a cornerstone for the next generation of financial services.
MLL Legal advised Ondo on all legal aspects in connection with the launch and daily operations of Ondo Global Markets under Swiss law, including the structuring and drafting of the sales terms for a whole programme of tokenized structured products issued by a British Virgin Islands (BVI) entity, with securities collateral held via U.S. registered brokers. MLL Legal further advised on the adoption of the tokenization structure in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations and prepared several contractual agreements.
