Jean Marguerat bénéficie d’une expérience dans tous les domaines liés à la résolution de litiges, avec une expérience particulière dans l’arbitrage international et le contentieux judiciaire international. Jean Marguerat est l’un des auteurs du Commentaire sur le Règlement suisse d’Arbitrage international.
Jean Marguerat est associé de notre bureau de Genève depuis 2010 et co-managing partner depuis Janvier 2020.
La pratique de Jean Marguerat porte sur le droit de l’arbitrage international, le contentieux judiciaire et le droit des contrats. Jean Marguerat jouit d’une expérience comme conseil de parties et arbitre dans plus de 90 arbitrages institutionnels (CCI, SCAI, LCIA, VIAC, TAS, etc.), et ad hoc internationaux concernant les opérations de vente de biens et matières premières, de distribution et d’agence, la construction, les ouvrages maritimes, les joint ventures et les questions liées au sport. Il représente régulièrement des clients devant les tribunaux suisses dans tous les domaines de litiges commerciaux et notamment ceux liés à l’arbitrage (reconnaissance et contestation de sentences arbitrales). Ses activités comprennent les procédures de reconnaissance et d’exécution (y compris les séquestres) ainsi que l’assistance judiciaire internationale.
