Acquisition by Apollo Global Asset Management of Credit Suisse’s Securitized Products Group
Global law firm Sidley Austin advised Apollo Global Asset Management together with MLL Legal for the Swiss aspects of the transaction concerning the acquisition of Credit Suisse’s Securitized Products Group (SPG).
Under the terms of the proposed transaction, investment vehicles managed by affiliates of Apollo have acquired the majority of SPG’s assets and other related financing businesses from Credit Suisse, and formed a new platform to enter into an investment management agreement to manage the residual assets on Credit Suisse’s behalf. SPG is a full-service, vertically integrated credit solutions provider to a range of lenders across residential and commercial real estate, consumer, and other asset classes.
