Walter Häberling speaks about best practices at the SVIT Swiss Real Estate School

Walter Häberling was a speaker at the Swiss Real Estate School’s Commercial Property Rental Agreements Best Practice seminar that took place on 7 December 2016. He delivered a presentation on the topic of non-competition-clauses and shielding-against-competition-clauses (“Konkurrenzverbot und Konkurrenzfreihalteklausel”) with cases illustrating key scenarios. He lectured on aspects of admissibility of such clauses (in particular in view of Swiss antitrust law), its constituent elements, beneficial wording of such clauses and     means of enforcement of such clauses that are essential for commercial tenants mainly in shopping centres and department stores.

The Swiss Organisation of The Real Estate Industry (SVIT) operates the Swiss Real Estate School in order to provide professional training for members of the industry. Students can achieve several different real estate related Swiss federal certificates and graduate as Bachelor of Arts in Real Estate or as Master of Advanced Studies in Real Estate Management.
