MLL Legal advises Müller-Steinag on the acquisition of Creabeton Matériaux AG and other group companies
MLL Legal advised Müller-Steinag on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction. The team was led by Alexander Vogel (Partner, Head of Corporate Finance) and included Thomas Nabholz (Partner, Tax), Michael Reinle (Partner, Intellectual Property), Christian Rebell and Thomas Nietlispach (both Senior Associates, M&A), Laure-Lye Pillonel (Associate, M&A) and Sandro Schacher (Junior Associate, M&A).
The Müller-Steinag Group, an owner-managed, independent family business active in the fields of concrete products, natural building materials, recycling, waste disposal and water technology, with approximately 1150 employees and a leading position as a manufacturer of prefabricated concrete products in central and eastern Switzerland as well as in Ticino, strengthens its market position and know-how through the acquisition of Creabeton Matériaux AG.
Creabeton Matériaux AG, based in Lyss (BE), was created in 2000 with the merger of five regionally active cement product manufacturers and thus became the leading manufacturer of prefabricated concrete products in western Switzerland under the umbrella of Vigier Holding. In 2001, Vigier Holding was integrated into the French listed Vicat Group. Creabeton Matériaux operates four innovative production sites in Lyss, Müntschemier, Einigen and Granges and is characterised by a wide range of over 4,700 different products. Creabeton Matériaux employs around 380 people.
