Tokenization in the Real Estate Industry
On 3 November 2021 Catrina Luchsinger Gähwiler will be a speaker at the webinar “Tokenization in the Real Estate Industry” organized by the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), together with the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
Prof. Michael Trübenstein of the HSLU will make an introduction and present the participating speakers. Catrina Luchsinger Gaehwiler (Partner and Head of Legal Tech at MLL Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep Ltd) will lead discussions on the legal aspects of tokenization of real estate. In particular she will address opportunities that technology might offer for the investment in and management of real estate, for example how DLT technologies and tokenization can apply in direct co-ownership, indirect participation, tokenisation of profit or equity, tokenisation of funds and derivative participation with various “securitised” rights.
Speakers Begga Sigurdardottir (Partner, PwC), Martin Burri (Director, PwC) and Stephan Rind (Founder / CEO, Brickmark), will share their expertise in the field from legal, tax and practical perspectives. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions about the application of blockchain technology and the use of tokens in the real estate industry.
