MLL extends its official apprenticeship program for future law firm administration professionals

Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Ltd. (MLL) has become a business sponsor for the launch of an accredited training program in the French part of Switzerland. Switzerland is well known for its numerous, high level technical training programs that prepare students for the working world by combining theory and on-the-job training, one of the most popular being the training to obtain the “Commercial Employee, Federal VET Diploma”. Since 2014 students of this program’s “service and administration” specialization have had the opportunity to conduct their compulsory apprenticeships in law firms with the objective of further specializing for the specific demands the legal industry. In order for this program to be successful, government training bodies, technical universities and law firms must work in close collaboration to ensure that training objectives are defined according to market demands, to make sure law firms are complying to the training objectives of each apprentice, and to warrant a sufficient amount of open apprenticeship positions for young people to conduct their compulsory apprenticeships in.

MLL has been an official business partner of this program in the German speaking part of the country since its launch in 2014. The program is now extending to the French and Italian speaking parts of the country and MLL has taken the opportunity to show its dedication to training future talent by becoming a business partner of this program in the French speaking part of the country. The MLL Geneva office will hire apprentices that will work in and be trained by the firm over 3 years.

Interested people following the “Commercial Employee, Federal VET Diploma” in the “service and administration” branch with a specialization in law firms (in German “Ausbildung Kauffrau/Kaufmann (EFZ)/Dienstleistung und Administration (D&A)/Betriebsgruppe Advokatur”, in French “Formation Employé-e de commerce (CFC)/Services et administration (S&A)/groupe d’entreprises avocature) can send their applications for an apprenticeship to Barbara Fischer (for the Zurich office) and to Monica Alonso-Otero (for the Geneva office).
