Congratulations to Sandra Patt on winning the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in her age group!
On 12 September, MLL Legal’s IP Paralegal team lead, Sandra Patt, competed in the Women’s 55-59 age-group category at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice and achieved an extraordinary result: she was crowned World Champion.
At MLL Legal, we know Sandra as a dedicated colleague who consistently brings commitment, precision and perseverance to her work. These same qualities were clearly on display as she took on one of the most prestigious events in triathlon and delivered an outstanding performance. We are proud to have supported her journey to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship and are thrilled to celebrate her success as World Champion in her age group. Here is Sandra’s account of this unforgettable experience:
“IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship 2026 in Nice – what a race!
I travelled to Nice knowing I was in great shape, but becoming World Champion in my age group was beyond anything I had imagined.
The preparation had gone extremely well, and I enjoyed the unique atmosphere in the days leading up to the race. On 12 September, at 8:22 a.m., my race began with a swim in the warm Mediterranean Sea, with no wetsuit needed.
The challenging bike course suited me perfectly, and I started the run still feeling strong. At the fourth kilometre of the run, I was surprised to hear that I was leading my age group. That information gave me a real boost, and I was able to maintain my pace while gradually extending my lead to more than five minutes.
I crossed the finish line in 5:34:38 to claim the World Championship title in my age group.”
While it may take some time for the magnitude of this success to fully sink in, we are delighted to celebrate this moment with Sandra and congratulate her wholeheartedly on this well-deserved achievement.
