The GAIL Summit 2025 From Ideas to Action: Shaping the Future of Impact Law will gather legal professionals from around the world to advance the field of impact law. Against the backdrop of climate challenges, economic shifts, and increasing social complexity, the Summit provides a space for reflection and collaboration on legal frameworks that promote inclusive, sustainable, and accountable systems. With a strong focus on perspectives from the Global South, especially Latin America, it offers an opportunity to share insights and build connections across diverse jurisdictions. The programme will translate systems thinking into practical legal tools, with sessions covering impact investing, blended finance, climate law, ESG, corporate governance, philanthropy, purposeful business, and emerging legal models. These discussions are designed to foster peer learning, highlight best practices, and drive tangible progress toward legal approaches that deliver positive social and environmental outcomes.

The Summit is organised by The Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers (GAIL), a community of legal leaders who are using the practice of law to have a positive impact on people and the planet, and to accelerate the just transition. We believe lawyers are uniquely positioned to facilitate change and support the movement towards a more equitable system. GAIL leverages the expertise of lawyers to accelerate the shift of corporate models and capital to make sure business is truly a sustainable force for good, while drawing on learning from across the spectrum of impact disciplines. We do this by profiling, connecting, educating, inspiring and mobilising impact lawyers locally and globally.
