Congrats to our colleague Sandra Patt for her great success at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship 2022
On 28 October 2022, our colleague Sandra Patt participated in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship 2022 in Utah. Sandra did not only finish 5th place (out of 275), but also ranked as the fastest European athlete in her category.
With freezy conditions due to 4°C air temperature and 17°C water temperature, the race started early in the morning. The rolling start enabled a more pleasant swim in the cold water and more importantly a smooth transition to the upcoming bicycle ride. Surrounded by the famous and breathtaking red rock canyons, Sandra enjoyed a trouble-free ride over the closed highways. Finally, the half marathon proved to be more challenging especially because of the elevation. Thanks to the cheering fans and volunteers however, Sandra took on the last task successfully and finished 5th place in the race.
