Marcel R. Jung speaker at the 12th Annual London Finance and Capital Markets IBA Conference on 16-17 January 2023
Marcel R. Jung will be speaker at the session “Decentralised Finance (DeFi): How blockchain-based finance works and how it is treated for tax purposes” of the 12th Annual London Finance and Capital Markets IBA Conference, which is presented by the Taxation Section of the International Bar Association.
The Panel will examine what Decentralised Finance (DeFi) is, how lending transactions on marketplaces like AAVE, provision of liquidity on DEXes like Uniswap and of insurance coverage on Nexa Mutual are taxed and what the consequences of DeFi rug pulls are.
The session will be chaired by Niklas Schmidt (WOLF THEISS, Austria) and includes James Brockhurst (Forsters, England), Marcel R. Jung (MLL Legal, Switzerland), Pallav Raghuvanshi (Greenberg Traurig, USA), Bruno Ramos de Sousa (Hashdex, Brazil), Stefan Richter (YPOG Partnerschaft v RA Stb mbB Schnittker+Partner, Germany) and Elise Tek (CMS Francis Lefebre Avocats, France).
