Whether it’s the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, or international data transfers, you will hear from the minds shaping the future of privacy law and regulation.
One of the key goals of the Alpine Privacy Days is to facilitate knowledge sharing in a relaxed and intimate setting. Our conference format features TED talk-style presentations that foster direct engagement between attendees, speakers and peers. - Christopher Docksey: Christopher Docksey is the Honorary Director-General at the EDPS, a Member of the Data Protection Authority of Guernsey and Senior Visiting Fellow and Member of the Advisory Board of the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity at the Law Faculty of University of Maastricht.
- Prof. Herke Kranenborg: A distinguished member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, Prof. Kranenborg has represented the Commission in nearly 150 cases before the EU Court of Justice in Luxembourg concerning data protection. He also holds a chair in European Data Protection and Privacy Law at Maastricht University and has extensive experience in privacy and data protection.
- Professor Dr. Boris Paal: Professor Dr. Boris P. Paal, M.Jur. (Oxford), is a fully qualified lawyer and Full Professor (with tenure), holding the Chair for Law and Regulation of the Digital Transformation at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), School of Social Sciences and Technology, Department of Governance.
- Professor Dr. Florent Thouvenin: Professor Dr. Florent Thouvenin is Professor of Information and Communications Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich. Among other things, he is Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Center for Information Technology, Society, and Law (ITSL) at the University of Zurich and President of the Swiss Forum for Communications Law (SF-FS).
- Gabriel Voisin: As a partner at Bird & Bird in London, Gabriel Voisin advises on international data and privacy compliance projects, including GDPR and ePrivacy Directive issues. He is also deeply involved in cybersecurity, AI and data breach management, working with major multinationals across various industries.
